Pay later invoice was posted to the wrong account
- First, check what linked account is being used for Accounts Receivable under Setup, Settings, Receivables, Linked account.
- If the linked account is the same as the one being used in the transaction, then there is no issue in the system. In order to change the account used in the transaction, modify the linked account and adjust the transaction.
- If the linked account is different from the one being used in the transaction, then there might have been an issue when the invoice was originally processed. In order to fix it, adjust the transaction and check the transaction detail by clicking on Reports, Display transaction details before posting. The account should be the same as the linked account now.
- after checking the linked account and adjusting the transaction, if the account used in the transaction is still not the same as the linked account, then the database can be damaged. Please contact technical support
