My Business Number is not printing on the T4 Summary or the Employee T4 Slip

    Sage Simply Accounting 2011, 2012 or Sage 50 Accounting 2013 or higher version:

    The program will print the Payroll Account Number on T4 Summary after you fill in the information under:

    1. Reports,
    2. Payroll,
    3. Print T4 Slips and Summary,
    4. T4 Summary Business Information Tab.

    Sage Simply Accounting 2010 or earlier version:

    If you are using the pre-printed option to print the T4 Summary, you will need to turn on the setting to allow the printing of the Company Business Number and Company Address.
    This can be found under:

    1. Setup,
    2. Reports & Forms
    3. click on Government Forms,
    4. Federal Payroll
    5. under the heading “T4 Summary Printer Settings”
    6. add the checkmark to “Print my company’s name, address, and business number on the form”

    If you are using the plain-paper option, it will print automatically.

    The Business Number/Payroll Account Number does not need to be printed on the Employee copy of the T4 Slip according to CRA


    Box 54 – Payroll Account Number
    Enter the 15-character Account Number that you use to send us your employees’ deductions. This number appears at the top of your PD7A statement of account and consists of three parts – the nine-digit Business Number (BN), a two-letter Program Identifier, and a four-digit reference number. Your Payroll Account Number should not appear on the two copies of the T4 slip that you give to your employees. .
