    How to run the Inventory Journal Synchronization test.

    Resolution
     

    Note: Always make a Backup of your data and give it a unique file name.  Do not overwrite a previous backup.

    1. Change to accounting period 1 in the company; refer to Answer ID 11440: “How do I change the accounting period?” in the Related resources.
    2. Open the Integrity Check:
      • For Sage 50 2013 and higher, select HelpCustomer Support and Service, and then select Integrity Check.
      • For Peachtree 2012 and earlier, refer to Answer ID 12115: “How do I access the Integrity Check in prior versions?” in Related resources.
    3. Select HelpCustomer Support and Service, and then select Integrity Check.
    4. Click Continue only if you have successfully created a backup; otherwise click Backup.
    5. In the File Tests box, select Reindex Files, select Chart on the Reindex File List, and then click OK.
    6. When finished, open Integrity Check again, and then click Continue.
    7. In the File Tests box, select Reindex Files, select Line Item on the Reindex File List, and then click OK.
    8. When finished, open Integrity Check again, and then click Continue.
    9. In the File Tests box, select Reindex Files, select Jrnl Header on the Reindex File List, and then click OK.
    10. When finished, open Integrity Check again, and then click Continue.
    11. In the File Tests box, select Reindex Files, select Jrnl Rows on the Reindex File List, and then click OK.
    12. When finished, open Integrity Check again, and then click Continue.
    13. Select the box titled Inventory/Journal in the Data Synchronization Tests box.
    14. Click OK.
