Error: “Assertion Failed, Abort, Retry, Ignore” when opening

    Resolution

    Section I:  Install the latest Service Release

    1. Click Ignore on the error message and close Sage 50
    2. The program should alert you that there is an update available and ready to be installed.  Choose Yes to install the update.  If the program does not advise you of an update to be installed,
    3. Follow through the installation prompts
    4. After the update completed, verify Sage 50 should now opens without error
    5. If not, proceed to the next section

    Section II:  Repair damaged program path files on the workstation (Use these steps only if the issue occurs on one machine, only)

    1. Close Sage 50
    2. Run Repair on Sage.
    3. Reinstall the latest Service Release
    4. Verify that Sage 50 opens without error
    5. If not, proceed to the next section

    Section III: Move backup files (.ptb) to the local hard drive

    1. Move the backup file from the USB media to the local hard drive
    2. Restore the backup
    3. Verify that the error no longer occurs
